[pkg-eucalyptus-maintainers] On new packaging approach

Hi everyone, been a while. I've been playing with the new packaging
for Eucalyptus 2.x and I'm getting things going well. I guess I'm
close to tackle at least 2 of our current tasklist[1].
However, I've a question that would need some agreement among us. How
shall we manage the new packaging work in regards to VCS workflow?
I'm inclined to a branch approach since it would allow us to have more
freedom to explore our ideas and refresh the whole process. I would
like to hear from you on the matter.
