Hiya.

I recommend using "." for next unread and "," for previous unread. After
I discovered those, my hair got shinier, my rash disappeared and my
sex-life improved ten-fold.

btw: This is documented in the quick reference under Help, but could
perhaps  be used as default visible accelerators in the Message->Goto
menu as well.
