Package: evolution
Version: 2.10.3-1
Severity: minor

Hi,

Currently, evolution 'Recommends' spamassassin or bogofilter. aptitude
installs Recommends by default, and most probably the whole of apt will
do so later this year.

Spamassassin is not quite a light package, in itself, but also has a
significant number of new dependencies and recommendations that it pulls
in. From my personal experience, spam filtering is most often done at
the server side. I know of no ISP's nor companies that do not spam-scan
on their mailservers already.

While I see that there are some use cases for installing spamassassin on
the client side, I think they are hardly the default case, and do not
outweigh the extra burden of installing the entire spamassassin-chain by
default.

Please downgrade these spamfilters to 'Suggests'.

Thanks!

Thijs
