Package: evolution-exchange
Version: 2.22.3.dfsg-1
Followup-For: Bug #413142
Hello,
I've been using Suse 10.2 with KDE 3.5.9 in work with evolution to read mail from exchange mail server.
I am actually a debian user at home and because I'm using it for may be 8 years now, so I decided to try
kubuntu and evolution was working also fine. I installed same kernel, same KDE 3.5.9 and same evolution.
I think in Suse it was 2.20.
Unfortunately I had more troubles with the ubuntu system and philosophy, as expected and decided to use
my debian system. In the beginning it was working fine, but after my password expired it started doing
weired stuff, like asking me to set a gnome-keyring password and saying it can not connect to exchange.
I deleted finaly ~/.gnome2 and ~/.gconf and it finally worked yesterday, but today it didn't want to allow
me read my mail. It is a nightmare as I have to use a crapy MS web interface. If you think windows is bad,
the interface they have is even worse.
I think if I can not do it tomorrow or at friday I'll have to install Suse again, which is very unplesant
idea, that I would like to not see coming true, so if someone can help. It would be great.
I have noticed that it depends somehow on keyring, because it worked yesterday only after I created a
keyring with password and this after cheking the option to remember the password. How was evolution remembering
the password previously, why does it want to put it in the keyring,
If I ignore this option or remove the keyring it says translated in english "no password pair for exchange
account owa http://<servername> ...
My question related to this is how it was possible that in Suse and kubuntu with the same KDE version it didn't
want to store password in any wallet and now (or in debian) it wants?
How do I integrate evolution into KDE.
The bulgarian language comes from my local environment at home, at work I have german.
I can imagine spending about 10EUR for a solution if you live in EU, because I mean brutto, but still as I'm
using it to do the work I get payed for, because I'll save the time looking for a solution myself.
It's still stupid that it was working before :-\
regards
