 I doubt anything major changed WRT to copyrights between the stable
 updates, and I think you can either upload the fix straightaway or
 upload the new upstream release as well.

 AFAIK, there's nothing special to the new upstream release process here
 apart of the usual minimums: API change checking, configure.ac diff
 review, NEWS reading.
