Hiya Loïc and thanks for looking into this :)
The reason for this handling in svn was that the 3.17-branch for
gtkhtml3.14 never was uploaded to the archives (neither to experimental
nor unstable).
The two commits, r906 and r907, were redone manually in the
unstable-branch in r965, as they were such small changes and I forgot
all about doing them a few months earlier in the experimental-branch
(which was not uploaded). Thus I still don't see the need for any
official merge here.
You can be sure that when we start doing work on the experimental-branch
again we will do a clean svn cp from unstable to keep all history and do
clean svn merges whenever things change in either branch. (I am the
subversion watchdog at my workplace as well ;) )
Regarding the use of experimental target-dist of evolution and
evolution-data-server:
The work for 2.22 was initially intended to go straight into unstable.
Seeing the need for larger changes and e-d-s going through NEW, it would
be best to do a preliminary upload to experimental and then to unstable
right afterwards. Since eastern took a while ;), the upload to unstable
has been delayed, but will hopefully happen quite soon now.
Cheers :)
