As Y.A Perez pointed later, the crash is not irremediable and, as the
bug submitter mentions, the crash happens on some messages that might
be themselves non-compliant with character encoding.

The rationale given for the bug being RC is itself very hair-cuttin
and I really fail to see why this bug should be release
critical. Again.
