I can do nothing. I cannot checkout. SSH privatekey authentication
failed. I'll try it tomorrow. But isn't there a process I have to
follow to grant me access to the evolution repo on svn.debian.org? Or
I just get it automatically after being approved into the project on
alioth?

OK. I remember I read an official instruction about building the
Debian evolution pkg somewhere but I can't find it. I thought it was
put at http://pkg-evolution.alioth.debian.org/. Seemed I was wrong.
