This bug is the same as https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=613803 It appears that (in my case) the problem was caused by DAViCal 0.9.6.1. Upgrading Davical to 0.9.7.6 currently in Debian Squeeze solves this problem. Ferry
