[Evolution] evolution in offline mode

Hi, what should I do to get evolution online.

I am testing sid with evolution 2.30 and exchange, but couldn't get it
online. In production (for work) I'm using evolution2.22 and lenny. It
complains about netmanager missing but it's still working.

options for off/online are disabled and it's saying that network information
is unavailable. does it depend on network-manager or alike?
