Package: evolution
Version: 3.2.2-1
Severity: normal
This has been raised upstream, although it could be a Debian build issue
as there have been very few other reports of this. Here is a
reproduction of the upstream bug report:
I upgraded from Debian squeeze to Debian wheezy, and in the process Evolution
was upgraded from 2.30.3 to 3.2.2. After the upgrade:
1. No entries are being displayed in the Google Address book. It contacts are
just blank.
2. I can't delete the Google Address Book. When I do Evolution displays the
message "Could not remove address book."
I tried deleting the address book using gconf-editor, and re-adding it. The
newly re-added address book displayed exactly the same symptoms - ie it doesn't
display any entries, and it can't be deleted. Nor did evolution prompt for a
password.
An strace on evolution during the add operation showed no attempt to query the
DNS servers for google's domain name, nor any attempt to login, and in fact no
attempt to issue an OS connect() call.
