[Evolution] Bug#673180: evolution: caldav-based calendars are not working properly

Package: evolution
Version: 3.2.2-1+b1
Severity: important

There is an important evolution upstream bug here:

A good description of the issue is discussed here:

In short, Evolution 3.2.2 inserts extra backslash characters into a string sent
to the caldav server. This results in the Evolution user being unable to
modify calendar events. This pretty much makes the calendar unusable.

Although upstream has since fixed the issue, it still exists in the Debian
version. It is quite important that the upstream fix either be incorporated in
Debian's version or that Debian move to the fixed version. Otherwise, the next
release will happen with broken caldav support.
