This is definitely a BiDi issue. To reproduce:

In Evolution, 

0. Start composing a new message.

1. Type or paste this line of text:

אני כותב 12345 והכל נתקע

2. Go to the end of the text. Notice Hebrew is RTL, so the end of text is on 
the left side.

3. Press and hold the right arrow key to go back. Note how the cursor loops 
over the number, and never goes past it.

4. Hit the "home" key. Evolution freezes.
