Dear MDP People,

I have got very interested in trying out MDP packet you wrote -- it
sounds great! (actually lots of ideas in workflow setup overlap with our
current 'development' http://pkg-exppsy.alioth.debian.org/pymvpa/ which
is yet to be released. I am just pity that we heard about MDP just now,
but I think that we might work out some nice integration of MDP within
our 'framework' ;-)).

Anyways... I thought it might be worth packaging MDP for Debian
GNU/Linux OS (I hope you've heard about it, so I will not blurb on how
cool it would be to get it into official Debian and thus
Ubuntu-child). But before I proceed I thought to check if MDP project
alive (I saw some bugfixes commits in SVN but no additional development
happening) -- is it going to be improved (like to incorporate Deep
belief networks Pietro wrote for NIPS ;-)) or at least maintained in the
nearest future (at least a year time range)?

What license it is under and who is copyright holder. Grepping the
sources I just found copyright of 'borrowed-to-be-improved- scipy

# Code found below this line is part, or derived from, SciPy 0.3.2.

Any other pieces of code were borrowed from any other project?

Thank you in advance and I hope to hear from you soon!
