I'll see what happens on sid/wheezy then - I should have noted I'm on squeeze, 
where libsoftokn3.so lives in /usr/lib/nss/ where ld cannot find it.

Am I correct to understand Debian APT packages will only allow one to either 
install worker, *or* prefork, but not both?
