[pkg-fetchmail-maint] Bug#325864: fetchmail: last boundary of
multipart-messages gets lost using imap
Stefan Warnken
stefan.warnken at web.de
Wed Aug 31 12:00:30 UTC 2005
Package: fetchmail
Version: 6.2.5-18
Severity: normal
If I fetch email from imap.web.de (using imap) the final boundary of
MIME/multipart-messages gets lost. This happens with every mail that
contains attachments and every PGP/MIME mail. Using pop3 (same mail,
same provider) works perfectly fine.
The output of fetchmail -vv shows a difference between reported and
actual length:
fetchmail: message stefan.warnken at imap.web.de:1 was not the expected length (1425 actual != 1469 expected)
(full output: fmimap.txt/attachment.tar.gz)
Fetching the email with getmail4/imap works, so it is probably not a
problem of web.de.
My ~/.fetchmailrc:
poll imap.web.de proto imap user "stefan.warnken" pass "XXX" is xxx fetchall
example mail and output of fetchmail -vv for this configuration and
the same mail fetched with pop3 (pop.web.de proto pop3) are in
attachment.tar.gz.
