But then dpkg would pester the user about the file every time the
template in the deb changes, and at random times even without. Which I
absolutely hate.
If you want fetchmail to handle the file and be policy conform then I
think a better way would be to create the file in postinst, only if it
is missing, and remove the file on purge.
