Read the fine manual:

       --sslcert <name>
              (Keyword:  sslcert)  Specifies  the file name of the client side
              public SSL certificate. [...]

              NOTE: If you use client authentication, the user name is fetched
              from the certificate's CommonName and  overrides  the  name  set
              with --user.
