[pkg-fetchmail-maint] Bug#475239: fetchmail: Decoding of character sets within headers

Package: fetchmail
Version: 6.3.6-1etch1
Severity: normal

If I use "no mimedecode", then email that I get from certain people with
encoded accented character look like this example:

 From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Chass=E9=2C_Joel?= <RealEmailDeleted at Stuff>

Since my client doesn't handle this gracefully, I'd like to be able to
use the "mimedecode" option. However, the decoded From line is:

From: Chassé, Joel <RealEmailDeleted at Stuff>

This leads to serious problems as this is later interpreted as two
distinct addresses (Chassé@localhost gets added when I reply).

I think that the solution is that fetchmail should embed a decoded
string within quotation marks, when it does decoding within header
lines, e.g.:

From: "Chassé, Joel" <RealEmailDeleted at Stuff>

Feel free to bump this upstream and possibly to reclassify as wishlist.

Thanks,
Peter
