[pkg-fgfs-crew] FlightGear Aircraft and Scenery

Dear all,

I was stumbling around the internet when I saw this,
http://wiki.debian.org/getData . It looks to my untrained eye that the
problem this tool addresses resembles the problem with the FlightGear
Aircraft and Scenery datasets. A tool like this if properly linked with
the current Debian package system could remove the problem of trying to
package scenery and aircraft.

My personal view is that tools like this, take terrasync for instance
need to be included more in Debian to make the end user experience
better. However they need to be integrated in to the package system so
that these tools can be used through it.

Is this something we need to look in to?

Thanks,

Chris
