Speaking as maintainer of the current flightgear packages in Debian, I 
don't think those packages on the mentor site are in shape to be 
uploaded. (I've sent some of the reasons why in private mail to Chris 
Baines.)

Yes, I've been a bit too busy the last few months to properly maintain 
the flightgear packages myself, but I'll try to get around to updating 
them to 2.0 now, at least; they'll hopefully be uploaded within the next 
few days. Any useful patches from Baines' packages could be merged in 
afterwards, but preferably after some review/discussion.
