[pkg-fgfs-crew] FGo! 1.5.3

Hello,

I've emailed FGo!'s author (Robert, in Bcc of this mail) about the
upcoming jessie release, in particular because I have helped develop a
feature that I would have liked to have in jessie, namely customizable
font size. As part of his reply, Robert sent me fgo-1.5.3.tar.gz.

I have incorporated this new release into my clone of
<http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/fgo.git> using gbp, and
briefly tested it (OK). The diff between 1.5.2 and 1.5.3 contains the
font changes, which I have well tested for several months in the form of
a patch applied on top of 1.5.2. It also contains a bunch of other
changes, some of which are harmless whitespace changes, but not only.
Apart from the quick tests I did, I can't give an informed opinion about
the other changes. But Robert probably can. :-)
  → how solid/tested is it?

If we upload 1.5.3 now, it can reach testing before the freeze. If we
discover a significant problem meanwhile, a serious bug will prevent it
from migrating to testing. I think it is unlikely that we need to update
the current package before the freeze for any other reason, therefore
the upload wouldn't really tie our hands.

So, there are a few possibilities:
  - I can push the update to master at
    <http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/fgo.git> (I am frn on
    alioth);
  - same thing, but into a new temporary branch;
  - I can upload a tarball of my repository somewhere, or push to
    github...
  - we can upload the 1.5.2+fontPatch combination I have well tested
    ('dget -x http://people.via.ecp.fr/~flo/debian/pool/main/fgo/fgo_1.5.2-1~frougon+deb7.dsc')
    now that I am sure it is compatible with 1.5.3 (I mean, the new
    config file setting).

What do you think?

PS : sorry Chris to Cc you, I don't know if that is what you wanted...
