[pkg-fgfs-crew] Bug#830701: flightgear: does not show up in GNOME Software

https://launchpad.net/bugs/1591115 reports that flighgear does not
show up in GNOME Software, the default graphical software installer
for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and the next stable release of Debian (GNOME).

Upon investigation, I believe this is because appstream is confused
because flightgear is not installing its app icons to the usual
directories.

I am attaching some patches to fix this and some other minor improvements.
