Package: flightgear-data-base
Version: 1:2017.2.1+dfsg-2
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
file /usr/share/games/flightgear/Timezone is a soft link to tzdata's files,
with a relative path "../../zoneinfo", which works OK in a standard
installation.
Due to this game's disk requirement's I've decided to move /usr/share/games
folder to a separate partition, and soft-link it to it's new home. This
resulted in fgfs failing to start with an erorr: "unable to find
Timezone/zone.tab", due to the previous soft-link now incorrectly pointing to a
non-existing relative path.
Changing that soft-link to point to the absolute path "/usr/share/zoneinfo"
solves the problem and the game can start normally again.
I suggest to change that link in the installation package since, given the disk
requirements of this game, many users would be tempted to proceed as I did in
order to save a significant amount of free space in root partition.
Thanks.
