Hi,

No, firebird 1.5.1 is in sarge and works fine. It packages are named firebird2.

I am talking about version 1.0.3 which got removed because of security reasons, in short the security fix is 1.5.x since there apparently was a big code review. This is the reason 1.0.3 is removed from sarge.

No we understand that for a package like firebird there are situations where you don't want to upgrade 1.5.x just yet. That is why we are planning to have the 1.0.3 packages unofficial available somewhere.

The tricky part is that I compiled php4-interbase against a package which is now no longer in sarge and thus it is not possible to rebuild that.

Cheers,
Remco.
