Yes, they really look like they are.  See my last notes below
and I think the next build can be simply uploaded.

A rather simple things:

1. firebird -> firebird2
a) Please rename /etc/init.d/firebird to .../firebird2
   We'll save ourselves a lot of headaches this way.
b) Make the packages "Provieds: libfirebird2" and "Conflicts:
   libfirebird" and then "Depends: libfirebird2" where needed.
   (Actually you already depend on libfirebird2 in firebird2-dev
   but libfirebird2 is not provided by libfirebird2-* packages!)

If there are any other places where fb1 and fb2 overlap, we
should add conflicts.  We don't need to provide an upgrade path,
and it's easier to make fb2 a completly separate live form.

2. Prepeare debian/changelog for upload.  It should read i.e.:

firebird2 (1.5.1-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream version. Closes: #151052
  * Lintian clean, tested by people on Debian-Firebird mailing list.

3. I suggest you put in debian/control file:

Maintainer: Debian Firebird Group
  <pkg-firebird-general@lists.alioth.debian.org>
Uploaders: Daniel Urban <daniel@sente.pl>

This way all the bugreports will go to the mailing list.


Please let me know when you're done and I'll do the upload.
