It's open! Maybe you sent mail to pkg-firebird-general-admin ? I
reviewed my mail history to find your mails and I noticed a wrong
adress in some mails.

I didn't recieve your message from 23 jan 2005, which I just read
below.

The reason for not fixing this is that the firebird packackes now only
produce the libraries. The tranlasted text is no longer displayed when
installed. New work is done on the firebird2 packages.

I have just asked if anybody objected to the removal of firebird on
pkg-firebird-general. No objections so far so I will go through with the
removal request.

Feel free to NMU this package, I have no objections. But it has become
redundant and I will ask for its removal from the archive. Removal of
packages sometimes takes some time, so your NMU wouldn't hurt and would
improve things for people unofficial building the server component.

Apologies for not replying sooner, the things mentioned above are not an
excuse for not letting now why nothing happened.

Cheers,
Remco.
