They use -O3 for a couple of years already. I'd need some hard facts before
proposing -O2 there. Testing -O2 build and reporting improvement is one way.
Another is discussing eventual problems on other architectures. I, however, am
not withess to such problems, so this is a rather weak position to stand :-/

I don't understand what you mean by "now". It is probably due to my bad English
skills, so can you explain, please? IMO the package was ready since Monday. :-)
