Hi, Daniel,

Currently, firebird packages contain several manpages written by you
that use GPLv2+ license. I believe that GPL is incompatible with
IPL/IDPL that is used in the rest of the code.

Are you willing to re-license these?

The manpages are: fbmgr, fbstat, gdef, gfix, gpre and gsec.

I am not recommending IDPL, since it is a) very long and hard to
understand; and b) includes source-of-venue clause that makes California
the state where claims are to be settled.

There are several alternatives for the new license (texts included below):

+ Expat
+ Beerware
+ LGPL-2.1+exception; This is the license, preferred by firebird
developers in case IDPL can't be used.

I used the Beerware for the manpages I wrote, due to its shortness and
humorous spirit.

In case you don't want to re-license, please say so.
