i chowned that file to be firebird.firebird

but another one
isql-fb
Use CONNECT or CREATE DATABASE to specify a database
SQL> connect "/tmp/employee.fdb " user 'SYSDBA' password 'SYSDBApassword';

ps: how do i connect to git for firebird 2.5 ?
do i need a shell account ?
