Not such upgrade is planned. In general the stable Debian release do 
not track the latest upstream. In case there are serious bugs found in 
the released package, fixes are backported.

So, if you have some serious reason to want 2.5.[56], like a data 
corruption, security issue or similar, please file a bug¹.

(…and start planning the migration to 3.0 since the next stable 
release, Stretch, will not have 2.5.x at all, but only 3.0)
