I tried to view http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IymXunwspUA with Gnash
0.8.8, and the video played just as it should for me.

Perhaps the bug is fixed in the new version?

I'm using 0.8.8-1 backported to Lenny, so I am not sure my experience
is representative for the Squeeze version, thought. :)
