Bug#773074: browser-plugin-gnash: gnash ignores proxy settings

Package: browser-plugin-gnash
Version: 0.8.11~git20140319+dfsg-1~bpo70+1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

trying to watch any youtube video I saw my firewall logging connections
to external systems on port 443. The port is blocked, since all traffic
is expected to pass through a proxy. Iceweasel is configured accordingly.

I tried to add https_proxy=proxy.fqdn:8080 to the "command to open addresses"
in the "Player" tab of the gnash configuration, but I guess it's the wrong
place anyway - it did not help.

I could not find any other place to configure a proxy for gnash.

If I allow access to external systems on 443 the video is played.

The behaviour was identical with 0.8.11~git20120629-1+deb7u1, i.e.
the standard wheezy packet.
