[Pkg-freebob-devel] Presonus Firebox issues on 64studio

I'm trying to run a Presonus Firebox under 64studio 2.0 on an AMD64
3500+ machine using Jack via qjackctl and freebob.

Problem: Jack runs fine when I start it up, but if I start any new
process, Jack zombifies and aborts. By 'any new process' I don't just
mean audio programs -- If I open Iceweasel for instance, Jack will
zombify and abort. Even opening the qjackctl 'Messages' console
causes Jack to zombify and abort. I've tried restarting jackd after
resetting the firewire bus using gscanbus and by dis/reconnecting the
the physical connection to the Firebox and got the same results.

My setup was working intermittently (required some tweaking every time
I opened qjackctl) before I upgraded to 64studio 2.0. I think I was
using 64studio 1.0 before, but I'm not sure of the exact version number.

Installed packages/libraries:
libfreebob0 1.0.3+svn443-2~bpo.1

jackd command line (used by qjackctl):
/usr/bin/jackd -v -R -P79 -p128 -t1000 -dfreebob -dhw:0 -r48000 -p256 -n3 -D

uname -a:

Link to qjackctl 'Messages' output (I thought it might be a bit long
to post directly):
http://phxom.matterwave.net/text/freebob_problems/qjackctl-msg.txt
(jack zombified and aborted right after I opened the Messages console)

I couldn't find any relevant output from dmesg, /var/log/messages or
/var/log/syslog .

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
