actually, I had already started doing that


This is what I did:
  * split out package freevo-box
  * standard version to 3.7.3.0 
  *  debian/control review :
    - packages should not conflict on self
    - depends on twisted 2.5.0 
  * some typo corrections
  * corrected freevo.postinst (it was asking the same questions twice)
  * do not run 'freevo cache' in postinst (it takes ~ 40min in my box)
  * corrected all lintian warnings (too many to remember :-)


I will put debian packages and sources in 
 http://tonelli.sns.it/pub/mennucc1/freevo/debs/sid/
in some minutes ; I attach int this email the SVN diff of the debian dir

the packages there work reasonably ... please test them

still TODO
  - in this version, you have to start freevo as root :
    my plan is that ,it should be possible to start freevo as a normal user
    (and, in particula, we may add a menu entry) ; 
    when people install 'freevo-box' , /etc/init...  will run everything as 'freevo' user
  - the sed command in .postinst is ineffective, must be updated
and other minor stuff

ps: I would like to commit into SVN ; I tried to checkout using
   svn co svn+ssh://mennucc1@svn.debian.org/svn/pkg-freevo
and it asked a password, and I tried both my alioth and my debian password, 
but I could not access; and similarly for
  svn co svn+ssh://mennucc1@alioth.debian.org/svn/pkg-freevo
