Thanks for that bug-report. I was annoyed by those new dependencies,
too (mostly because the required hal version in not yet available on
all platforms), but didn't check their necessarity.

You can use a X-Debbugs-CC: header instead of a CC: header in bug
report submissions, then the list will get the CC of your mail from
the BTS after a number has been assigned.
