I have my Freerunner only since ~3 weeks, my experience so far:
I have created a swap partition, and when I look at RAM/SWAP I see
that sometimes a bit of the swap is used; IIRC not during normal
operations but when installing stuff via aptitude etc.
I _guess_ having an option to create a swap partition might be a good
idea.
