I like the idea of the welcome snippet.

Much of the following also exists in OM wiki, but in that case there is
no overview and sometimes solutions I would not recommend.

I would suggest a wiki page like
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianOnFreeRunner/Customization giving an
overview of the possibilities and linking to other howto wiki pages
containing the necessary steps and explanations.

This would mean pages like
DebianOnFreeRunner/{Games,LXDE,XFCE,Trayer,Illume,Matchbox+fbpanel}.
For the Desktop Environments there should be the apt-get command, some
information regarding speed / reactivity, information on how to
customize the menu, how to install or set up themes. Current status and
known issues (especially for E17). Some note about the used size would
also help choosing your favorite. And of course, users want screenshots.

Also Debian wiki should provide information on
- X server related stuff (right click, Xglamo vs fvdev (pros and cons))
- coop with pc: x2x, xephyr, (xnest), (ssh -X)
- wifi

I wanted to spend time on this but there are too many other things right
now, so I just shared my ideas in short.
