Was this a request to add this patch to the Debian kernel?

I see two option here:

1) simply include the patch in the FSO-MS5 kernel (which is the one
   Debian ships).  However, I would stop as soon as there is a conflict.

2) package a more recent Git snapshot, either up to that patch or after,
   e.g. today's one or another you will tell me.

I prefer the second option.
