[pkg-fso-maint] Bug#538796: nodm: options to avoid searching for open ttys

Package: nodm
Version: 0.5-1
Severity: wishlist

it would be nice if you could force which tty nodm runs on, rather than having
it look for open ttys. this is useful in the case of LTSP, where multiple X
servers may be started, each with a different specific tty; in order to
consistantly get the same tty, it should be able to run from the tty where it
was started (LTSP starts sessions using openvt).

i see some possible options:

* setting an environment variable such as NODM_TTY (or NODM_VT?) that
specifies which tty to use, open or otherwise.

* an option to simply run from the current tty.

live well,
