[pkg-fso-maint] Bug in zhone with cyrillic characters

Hi

At last I've installed russian keyboard for illume from [1], and
immediately faced issue with entering cyrillic characters in
sms in zhone.

Characters do not enter, and .xsession-errors gets

UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xd1 in position 0: ordinal not in range(128)

'ascii' codec definitly can't decode non-ascii characters.

But where is the actual bug, and how to fix it?
