Hello,
we have discussed about this desktop thingy before. Luca would prefer not to add it, if I
understood him right, Joachim is using it. At the moment, it is not installed, and I would
like to add it if there are not tons of vetos now.
What I just observed is that when starting the matchbox-desktop, the icon of tangogps
(which is a rather large png), appears nicely. The icons for the games in sgt-puzzles
(/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/rect.png) don't, they just appear as a sheet with a
red cross. The problem is associated with this message
(matchbox-desktop:2572): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not find the icon 'blackboxgame'. The
'hicolor' theme
was not found either, perhaps you need to install it.
You can get a copy from:
http://icon-theme.freedesktop.org/releases
Both the message goes away and the icons of the sgt-puzzles are shown properly, when the
package hicolor-icon-theme (1352kB on disk) is also installed. The icons are very
impressive, I think, and for the acceptance and usability of the neo rather beneficial. I
would hence add that as a target for the "GAMES" task to install.sh.
The problem that comes to mind with the puzzles all in is that the matchbox-desktop starts
scrolling. And it does that only on its scrollbar, which is rather tricky without (and
even with) a fine pen.
Steffen
