i got the very same symptoms w/ reinstalling witha any new installer.
imo it's caused by the current fso stack (fsousaged most likely).
i have to try several times to start (and kill) zhone until it eventually
registers and after suspend/resume gsm is dead.
what causes the registration problem is not possible to find out from the
logs.
the suspend/resume dead is caused by the gsm resource never becoming
"resumed" -- it's always in state "resuming".
so, what i did was:
- once zhone registers do not close it anymore (which means no reboots,
too)
- use apmd to resume the gsm resource "manually" -- a dbus call to the
appropriate fso method in one of the scripts executed on resume works
nicely so far.
