Some more comments - this time about /etc/abyss.conf

"close the program" - you mean daemon exit?
Maybe write that explicitly? "Close" is misleading IMO.

Isn't this shared with other FSO components? If so, it likely should go to
some "more global" config file...
Btw, why this file is not under /etc/freesmartphone/
And same question about framework.conf - the name is very generic so file
should likely be in per-package or per-subsystem subdir of /etc/
