Please consider teaming up with someone as alternative to seeking
sponsors.
I would be happy to team up with you, if you are ok with using (or
willing to learn about) Git and CDBS as our key packaging routines.
As alternative to forming a new team (with me or someone else) you could
also try ask some existing team (e.g. the Gnome or KDE teams or some
other relatively generic one) if they would want to work with you.
Working as a team is a bit more work initially (both socially and
technically) than working alone and seeking sponsors, but I believe it
pays off on easier maintainance long-term and more fun doing it :-)
I do not want to sponsor your packages (or *any* packages for that
matter), as I dislike the concept of sponsoring: I fear that it too
often leads to bad quality packages in the long run when the developers
that upload into Debian are not themselves directly engaged in the
packaging work.
Kind regards, and good luck finding sponsors if stay on that path,
- Jonas
