[pkg-fso-maint] Thanks for packaging nodm!

I just stumbled on nodm while looking at the live-helper changelog.
I'm intrigued, because currently currently I just have an rc.local of

    env -i su twb -c xinit >/var/log/xinit.log 2>&1

nodm looks very complicated by comparison. If it's not too much
trouble, can you give me a one- or two-paragraph "sales pitch"?
I can see some obvious advantages:

    - it runs a little earlier in rc2.d;
    - it's configurable via debconf;
    - it loops (restarting X if you log out/kill X);

    - it hooks into pam somehow? Looks like the "env -i su twb" part
      is done in C instead of fork-and-exec'ing.

    - it needs a controlling tty? That would seem to contradict an
      Xwrapper.conf(5) setting of allowed_users=anybody.
