Speaking of porting n900 applications: I found wifieye from maemo a useful tool
for visualizing wlan networks:

I created initial debian packages for my own use but I am not sure if
they would be fit for debian. The catch is that it needs sudo access
to scan the wlan networks. On maemo the package just modifies
/etc/sudoers.d on installation, I don't think that is something we
want to do in debian.

Thoughts?
