i'd be interested to try to get the gps working on my freerunner.

but i'm very much confused but the documentation I can find on the web

from what I understand, there is 3 software :

- gpsd which speaks a kind of standard protocol
- ogpsd which speaks another kind of protocol
- fso-gpsd which doesn't access the hardware but translates ogpsd
  protocol in gpsd protocol

am I understanding everything correctly ?

why are there two different daemons  and more importantly what should I
install ?

I don't have anything related to gps in fsodeviced config file
