Hi Helmut,

I have looked into the problem and found a way to handle the situation. I
chose to introduce a -common package to handle the config file. I propose
this to the maintainer as a patch (see attachment).

I also uploaded bianry packages for amd64 amd i386 for testing purposes:
http://shore.naturalnet.de/~nik/debs/libphone-utils_0.1+git20110523-1.3/ .

Further, I uploaded the changes I made to mentors.debian.net:
https://mentors.debian.net/package/libphone-utils . One can get the source
package with something similar to:

  dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/libp/libphone-utils/libphone-utils_0.1+git20110523-1.3.dsc

I propose that you, Helmut, try to test whether this fixes the problem and
report back if it does.

Cheers,
Nik
