[pkg-fso-maint] ppp: Call for testing version in experimental

Hi all,

This concerns the packages: fso-gsmd, network-manager,
network-manager-pptp and pptpd.

A few days ago I uploaded ppp 2.4.7-1+1 to unstable, and you all very
swiftly uploaded tweaked versions of your packages in order to use the
new dh_ppp tool and correct the ppp plugin path within your packages.
Thanks very much!

I have uploaded a new version of ppp, 2.4.7-1+2~exp2 to experimental
which (among other minor changes) enables the "pie" hardening flag which
I had previously kept disabled. My testing shows that this has not
affected the pppd plugins shipped with the ppp package, but I would
really appreciate it if you could test your packages against this new
version.

I'm hopeful that I can keep the -fPIE hardening enabled without
requiring any plugin recompilation (because these must already be built
with -fPIC) - but I don't want to push this into unstable without being
able to test it.

I would also really appreciate it if you could send me instructions to
test your packages against newer ppp releases, or even pointers to test
suites that I could run myself?

Many thanks!

Chris
